STEALING SHEEP (Liverpool)
Lo-fi, DIY pop in the shape of noisily drenched old time vocals, brittle surfy guitars and pounding rhythms. Since forming in 2010, they have toured the UK and Europe opening for bands such as Best Coast, TuneYards and Emmy the Great, cut a record at Abbey Road Studios, received frequent airplay from BBC2’s Steve Lamacq, Radio 1’s Gilles Peterson, Rob Da Bank, 6music and XFM, and signed to one of the UKs best labels Heavenly Records (Fionn Regan, Doves).

STEPHEN HUDSON & THE FIAT PANDAS (Lancaster)
Songs about teenage boys’ murderous fantasies over their parents, dog-walking, Heat magazine, cycling to Morecambe to bury yourself on the beach, sex with a teacher called Mrs Steklenberg… Stephen Hudson’s vivid imagination and lyrics are a perfect match to the ragged and fragile country-garage of his band, the Fiat Pandas. After a triumphant mini-tour of Northern England and Scotland in September this promises to be a belter.

ALL WE ARE (LIVERPOOL)
Hotly tipped by Tom Waits, this alt-pop/psychedelic folk trio spin a kaleidoscopic sound full of three part harmonies, kettle-whistling guitar and hypnotic drums. Recording their second EP in a Norwegian cabin, AWA promise to provide a magic Christmassy feel to the night.
